Digital marketing tactics can be used for lead nurturing in a variety of industries. One such area is higher education where digital marketing can be used to improve higher education yield (the number of accepted students who then enroll in the college or university).
Typical yield tactics include emails and direct mail to accepted students and invitations to “accepted students days”, but many universities don’t use digital advertising tactics to support yield maximization activities, which can be powerful tools.
For example, since schools have email lists of all accepted students, any digital advertising tactic that can be used based on a list of email addresses is a candidate. This includes using platforms such as Facebook Custom Audiences, Google Customer Match, and Twitter Tailored Audiences to target ads and promote social posts on those platforms.
Even programmatic advertising platforms typically support targeting of ads to email lists through “data onboarding” platforms.
